Arizona Game & Fish Game Unit Scouting Reports
Arizona uses a lottery system for issuing hunting tags via a hunting draw. Each
year many hunters get drawn that have not hunted in 5-10 years. To assist these hunters,
the Arizona Hunting Club & Outdoor Adventure Group is building a database of hunting
research report for each hunting unit in Arizona.
The purpose of the
Arizona Hunting Club's database of scouting reports, is to amass hunting
information from hunters each year on where they successfully harvested animals. This
allows us to build trend information and show what animals do with regards to different
hunting conditions such as drought or heavy rain. The Arizona Hunting Club Scouting Reports
provide valuable information on which stock tanks are the most active, nearby feeding areas
and areas where animals will bed down to rest during different times of the day.
Hunters that would like to share information on where they successfully harvested
a big game animal can do so by adding it to the
Arizona Hunting Club's Hunting Report.
To supplement this data, we also want to point you to information collected by the
Arizona Game & Fish Hunt Unit Managers. Though the information is very vague, it can be
very useful for new hunters looking for good starting points in a give hunt unit. Each
link below includes a map of the hunt unit and a scouting report.
